Cate Tinsley is a painter who began her art career as a toddler painting alongside her father in his Soho loft in New York City. His easy and open approach gave her the freedom to find her own way as an artist. She later designed large-scale nature stencils and painted murals while living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Today, she works primarily in oil on canvas and graphite on paper. Her many years attending a Waldorf school in upstate New York instilled in her a deep love for both nature and humanity, which continues to draw her toward landscapes and people as her primary subjects.
